The Subtraction Seating Series
Focused on what's missing within his work, architectural artist @grahamkelman has created the Subtraction Series.
As its name suggests, the idea of taking something away defined the approach Kelman took when creating the series. It consists of very simple iconic chairs that feature a void, which has been replaced by an architectural parasite. Through the use of color, materiality, and expression, Kelman wanted to showcase maximum contrast between the solid and the void.
