Description:
National Light reimagines the civic monument as a living, participatory experience where every visitor's voice becomes part of the architecture. Conceived for America's 250th anniversary, the installation transforms spoken reflections into synchronized compositions of light and sound across a luminous 360° environment, creating an ever-evolving symbol of democracy shaped by public participation. Designed as a flexible civic landmark, the concept can be adapted to a range of sites—from the National Constitution Center to Philadelphia's LOVE Park—allowing each location to generate its own unique expression while reinforcing the idea that democracy is continually shaped by the voices of its people.
